April 2026 Increases
From April 2026, the Older Persons, Disability and Care Dependency grants increased to R2,400; War Veterans to R2,420; Child Support and Grant-in-Aid to R580. Department of Social Development material lists the Foster Child Grant at R1,290 from April.
October Foster Child Change
The 2026 Budget Speech schedules the Foster Child Grant to rise again to R1,300 from October 2026.
